Wondering how the Sacramento housing market is shaping up for summer? According to the latest stats from The California Association of Realtors:
- March concluded with a total of 333 sales, showing an 23.8% decrease from March of 2023.
- Active listing inventory has risen by 46.3% compared to last year, with 474 active listings.
- On average, homes in Sacramento were on the market for 13 days.
- Approximately 28.1% of all active listings experienced a price reduction.
So what does this mean? This market update suggests a dynamic environment for both buyers and sellers in the Sacramento housing market. Although home sales declined compared to last year, likely due to increased interest rates affecting buyer demand, there’s a growing inventory offering more options and flexibility for buyers. For sellers, while there may be increased competition and potential need for price adjustments, the fast-paced market and expanding inventory provide opportunities to attract motivated buyers and negotiate favorable terms.
